New Jersey's oldest nonprofit alternative art space, City Without Walls showcases new and emerging visual artists in its gallery space, and offers educational programs to the general community. It's located in the heart of Newark, near Lincoln Park and Symphony Hall. Past exhibits at City Without Walls include a showcase of urban drawings, and the center's annual juried display of Metro-area artists.
